Narcissus ‘Jaquard’ 8W-Y, 2026

With its perfect symmetry and strong color saturation, ‘Jaquard’ has the up-close tactile lusciousness of a rich textile. Though of average floret size, its geometric form is reminiscent of a Led Zepplin sigil. A somewhat tall plant with bright yellow-green foliage, it unfortunately is quite susceptible to frost damage and so requires protection (either along a tree canopy or with frost cloth). The bulbs are prone to excessive division, so deeper planting is in order for optimal scape production. For the tazetta enthusiast with a perfection-of-form problem (you know who you are). Blooms in early December, with a very lightly fragrance; unknown fertility. Collected from an old garden site in the Natchez, Mississippi area.

NOTE: The Sara Van Beck tazetta and paperwhite daffodils are generally not hardy in cold climates with freezing winters. In frost-free climates (zones 8-11) these bulbs may be safely planted outdoors in autumn for late winter flowers. In colder climates with freezing winters, they are easily grown indoors for flowers during the winter months. Learn more at www.heirloomtazettas.com.
